  • What is counselling?

    The words ‘counselling’ and ‘therapy’ are often interchangeable and describe an opportunity to meet with a trained professional about the issues in your life that are creating distress. I specialize in working with women experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions (break-ups, divorce, new life stage) and who have experienced trauma.

  • How does this work?

    Talk therapy is an opportunity for you to explore and process what has happened in your life with a professional. After we explore what has gotten you to today, we’ll work on goals together to help you experience an increase in balance and calm in your life.

  • What you can expect

    Short term counselling is typically 8-12 sessions and we would connect weekly or bi-weekly. Longer term counselling can occur when the issues are complex. The plan would always be to help you build the skills to manage without a regular counselling session. When we meet, we’ll discuss your goals in depth.

    At this time, counselling is only offered online. During the spring, walk and talk therapy will be offered after an initial assessment is completed.

  • Many extended health programs cover therapy with an RSW
